I have since graduated to higher brackets in my collection, but still find myself looking at your pic and thinking I should grab another. I see a lot of people liking the nato and some who prefer canvas, but just wanted to see what y’all think. I also created a special chart to ensure that the deployant buckle fits properly in the middle of your wrist. I think I need to look into sailcloth or canvas - whatever "canvas" means. I've owned a few Panerais and an Omega, and the beautiful thing about them is that there are many different style or rubber and leather straps that makes the watch stand out. Nato International standard strap length is 300mm w/o the buckle and Zulu makes a 330mm (w/o buckle)seatbelt nato. 2. First I used a Nato strap which was very cool and comfortable, then i choosed the original metal strap. I’ve tried one or two, and found them uncomfortable, overly thick (when you consider the double pass) and not particularly aesthetically pleasing. I've paired it with a B&R sailcloth strap, tried it with a few natos, and also a couple of different leather straps, but nothing wears more comfortably than that stock seiko silicone strap it came on, imo. I always buy the watch with the bracelet but usually swap not out for a strap of some sort, either single pass NATO or Leather of some kind. NATOs weren't invented because they prevent losing a watch--pass through watch straps were invented because some military watches had fixed bars that could not accept a conventional strap. Still high quality and I prefer it over NATO straps because it adds less height to the watch on wrist. I own about 50 or 60 Nato and Zulu straps but only one Omega Nato. The deployment clasp itself is made of brushed stainless steel that matches the titanium caseback, only the visible parts when closed are made of bronze.
